Film music continues to sweep the world with festivals and concerts. My travels in 2019 included New York, NY; Krakow, Poland; Alagna, Italy; Zermatt, Switzerland; Lucerne, Switzerland; Zurich, Switzerland; Santa Cruz, Tenerife; Las Palmas, Gran Canaria; Ghent, Belgium; Vienna, Austria; London, England; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Belo Horizonte, Brazil and Rio de Janiero, Brazil!
My long friendship and working relationship with the legendary Jerry Goldsmith was discussed in detail on two episodes of The Goldsmith Odyssey podcast. I was also interviewed for the podcast “What’s The Score?”, also in two parts, regarding ten particularly special recordings to me. (Media)
There are exciting new feature documentaries about Max Steiner and Bernard Herrmann coming soon and I was interviewed for each of them. I was also interviewed for the just-released Blu-ray of Basil Poledouris’ RoboCop.
I was also interviewed about two Jerry Goldsmith classics for a pair of upcoming special Blu-ray releases. More info to come later.
We launched Wojciech Kilar’s Dracula: Live In Concert at FMF Krakow in May and then again at Fimucité in Tenerife in September. Both were epic successes with standing ovations. More Dracula concerts to come!
My debut recording for Sony Classical, “Cinema Morricone: An Intimate Celebration,” featuring Sara Andon on flute and Simone Pedroni on piano, was released in May.
We followed this release with recitals in Italy and The Canary Islands! More recitals to come!
Now here we are in 2020 and we are launching the Robert Townson Productions website! Thank you to everyone who has been part of this epic film music adventure over any part of the last 30 years!
